I love this carseat. The impact ratings is what sold my husband and I and the weight limit we live in Ca. so the laws are always going up on the weight. I like that he can stay rearfacing for longer then the first year, he doesn't sweat like he did in the chicco infant seat. And it has alot of padding so he's comfy. It was super easy to install. The only thing that is difficult is the a have a two door car so getting him in and out is a little more difficult, it doesn't help that I'm pregnant with twins.

We bought this carseat for our 8 month old. He was growing out of his infant carseat and we needed something safe and sturdy. After reviewing all of the convertible carseats, we chose this one. It has the most safety features for the price!!!!
We love our recaro!!!
We only have one negative comment... It sits high. We drive a Toyota highlander and we have to be very careful not to bump his head on the ceiling when putting him in the seat. But, because it sits high, he can see over the seat and look out the window.

My 8-month-old son rapidly grew out of his infant bucket seat. He is now 30in long and 22lbs. My biggest concern was whether this would fit in my 2 door Honda Civic (2004, EX). I found it to fit in all three positions of the back seat. Because of its large size, my best option was to install it behind the driver's seat. This left me plenty of room (I am 5'5") to comfortably drive. It is impossible to place my son in from the driver's side with the side impact protection, so I bring him into the coupe from the passenger side and have plenty of room to maneuver him in. This is also the case with my husband's 4 door 2001 Toyota Camry; we bring him in from the opposite door of installation. He enjoys sitting high and seeing out the window. It is obviously more comfortable because the fussing stopped when we buckle him in. As with most coupes and sedans, the ceiling is low, so you will need to practice strategically placing your baby in this seat. All of these issues I only see as barriers when rear-facing. I think it will be excellent as forward-facing, removing the difficulty of view obstruction and careful placement of your baby into the seat. It is important to me that this seat is so safe and that is why I selected it over Britax. If we have another baby, I may skip the bucket seat and go right to this one. Thank you Amazon for sending it so quickly and at an incredible price.
