Because of the even heat, the Lefse Grill works very well in making multiple pancakes at a time. My wife can squeeze 4 medium pancakes on it simultaneously. This is not possible to do on the range without turning on multiple burners.

Also works great as a large crepe maker.

There are only 2 of us, but this is a perfect size for making large batches of soups and roasting meat. YOu can make everything in one pot and it all cooks evenly and turns out great. Unless you are a family of more than 6 people, this is definately big enough. The size is large, so beware, it is heavy even empty. I love it.

I ordered two pieces of Le Creuset items from Amazon. I have wanted to cook with their product for years, but this was the first time I was able to squeeze it into my budget.

Imagine my dismay when both items had scratches in the inner enamel (not on the outsides of the pieces). I know I got a deal from Amazon, but I started to wonder if Amazon was selling second quality. The "Le Creuset" labels on the pots were white, which indicates "first" quality. If they had been seconds the label would have been orange.

With a sinking feeling in my gut, I proceeded to return both items. If it had been just one piece, I would have thought it was a fluke. But with two the incident just didn't sit right with me. I wasn't about to risk another return. I decided to try my chances with Flemington's liberty village Le Creuset where, even if I was purchasing second quality, I would have more control over the flaws I would have to deal with.

As it turns out, the price of the seconds were exactly the same as those at which Amazon sells theirs. However, as the outlet was having an amazing sale, I was able to purchase three for the price of two and get free shipping. Chris the salesperson I dealt with personally looked over the pieces and chose items with flaws that I could live with. I couldn't be more pleased.

So if you ultimately decide to purchase your Le Creuset from Amazon, be very sure that you inspect your items very carefully. If the scratches or flaws are on the outside, this is something you can live with. You're getting the items at the price of seconds and they'll get scratched over time anyway. But if there are scratches or protrusions on the inside of the pieces, I would seriously consider returning the items. You don't want the integrity of the pots to be compromised.

I got this as a present to my girlfriend. She has yet to open it up along witht he Julia Childs original book version 1 and 2. I took a look at it and this bad boy is heavy, but very sturdy. The inside is very smooth and has little bumps that are hard to see but you can feel. I believe it helps with cooking things over a long period. The lid is the very heavy too and will hold the heat in well. I bought a replacement knob that came with a short screw, which is good.

I did not see any scratches or blemishes in the cobalt paint and was surprised at the craftmenship of the french oven itself. It is a steep price, but well worth decades of meals!

So much thought went into this, and quality, now all other blenders are just motors that spin blades.
I am so impressed with this blender. I've tried all the oster, and hamilton beach, and expensive bar blenders and food service models. I cannot get over how great this is, and for the money. The industrial design is amazing, don't underestimate the flat sides of the base. When they're flat you just wipe it once and you're done! Other round blenders are a pain to clean, and you can see if anything is on this one too because of the bright metal. And they use expensive precision berings for the blades in the base of the pitcher. The one piece design of the pitcher is great too, so easy to clean. Thank you for that. On another note, this is so much more quiet than the other blenders I've had. Really, it doesn't scare my pets. There's a rubber weight around the motor shaft on top of the base, which smoothes out the rpm's. It's really well thought out. I need the plunger stick that comes in the top too. Very nice of them to include that as i use it every day. And the best thing is it has a 7 year warranty! My last blender lasted just 13 months, dying on me just right after the one year warranty was up. I will say, i could use a slightly larger pitcher. And also, be sure to use the switch to turn it off, and not just the rotary rpm knob, because its possible to stop the motor by turning the knob all the way down, and unless you turn off the switch too you will be wasting electricity - even if the motor isn't turning. I love this blender, it's amazing that i got all this for around $170.

Great blender, strong motor, blends everything with ease and looks great. We purchased the L'Equip RPM blender a few years ago for the novelty of having a tachometer on a kitchen blender, but it's the blender's performance that makes it such a bargain. As noted by others, it is a very powerful blender, containing a 1HP motor. I suspect it could blend iPads, rake handles and cement, but my needs are more limited - smoothies, which it makes quite well.

After years of use, the blade assembly or gasket at the bottom of the pitcher started to leak. I called L'Equip's warranty department, and without any fuss about proof of purchase, they promised to send the necessary replacement parts. This is by far the best customer service I have received all year, and perhaps the best ever from an appliance manufacturer. Well done, L'Equip!

While the L'Equip RPM blender is well made and solid, it does have a bit of a hand-crafted, laboratory instrument feel to it. The brushed steel is uncoated, the toggle switch is old-school, and the tachometer is seated with a simple rubber gasket. It looks right at home next to my Rancilio Rocky and Silvia, but the simplicity of the design and construction will not appeal to all.

In short, this blender has a great design and blending performance to match. These are exceeded only by L'Equip's customer service. Highly recommended.


L'Equipe 306500 Review by R. W. Malone

So I've had this blender for about a month now and I've been cranking out awesome smoothies with this thing on a daily basis. I don't normally leave reviews for things, but I really like this blender and some others have expressed issues that I would like to address for other potential buyers.

The biggest issue most report is that the blade assembly base starts to chip and metal flakes end up in whatever you're blending. I did some research on this prior to buying the blender and found that the company has now replaced those with stainless steel blade assemblies so no more chipping. As soon as I received mine, the first thing I checked was that assembly and it does in fact appear to be stainless steel. Of course I will still monitor it for any flaking but I really don't think this is a concern with the new ones.

Some have said the pitcher is cheap... well, it is plastic but it seems like a very sturdy plastic to me. The lid is a little cheap feeling though, as in I would be careful with washing it in the dishwasher as I could see it being melted or deformed easily in high heat.

I saw a review that said the blades didn't come off and you have to blend soapy water to clean it. I'm not sure if that was an older design or not but mine does come apart... in fact there's a tool that comes with it to help you remove the blade assembly, although you can still remove it without the tool if you lose it.

I did take one star off because the first unit I received would not power on at all. I called their support and they sent a new one out via FedEx with a pre-paid return label for the bad one. Took about a week but I'm pretty satisfied with their response and turn-around and it didn't cost me any extra money in shipping since they sent me the pre-paid label. Also the rubber covering over the feet that hold the pitcher in place were so loose one actually came off... They are only glued on in the first place so a little super-glue fixed them.

I just received the Chef's Choice 120 Sharpener yesterday. Today I sharpened 32 various kitchen knives of good quality and 11 pocket knives of good quality using the new sharpener. After reading so much about the 120 model's outstanding results, I was disappointed. I read and followed the instructions carefully. While it did put a serviceable (not razor sharp) edge on longer kitchen knives, the edge was not even close to a professional job, nor even as good as manually sharpening with a stone. Razor sharp will NOT happen with this sharpener. The model 120 was nearly useless for shorter knives such as small paring knives and small pocket knives because it doesn't sharpen the first 1/2" next to the handle. On a short bladed knife, that doesn't leave much sharpened. On the positive side, it did not damage any of my knives. Overall, I wish that I hadn't wasted my money on the Chef's Choice 120 Sharpener. I'm back to manual sharpening with stones and ceramic rods.

I have used this juicer for several years now. It works well. I can Make a glass of carrot/celery juice and clean up in less than 10 minutes.Remember to put a grocery produce bag in the hopper for fast clean up. The rest can be rinsed off and washed with your other dishes. I peel my carrots first, juice, then use what is in the hopper to put on a salad. No waste!

SDDALL has not refunded my money, and Amazon is allowing this to happen...even with all the proof I have that I sent it back!!! When I received the juicer that he said was new, it was filled with crud from fruit and no telling what else. It also had scratches all over the lid and other places! I sent the item back, and told him the condition of the juicer and he still refuses to send my money back. It has been almost two months and I have not received nada! BUYERS BEWARE SERIOUSLY!!!!

I recently bought the KitchenAid Professional 600 series 6-quart mixer which I love by the way. I have not mixed any bread, only cakes and the only thing I would change about it is the space between the paddle and the bowl. Disconnecting the paddle and trying to remove batter off the paddle is a challenge but the bowl allows me to double my recipe with ease. I use it everyday and would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this brewer because we have one at work that is awesome. This one doesn't brew a large enough cup of coffee. It fills your cup up about to the 1/2 or less mark. The K Cups are too expensive to just get 1/2 cup of coffee! The taste of the coffee in this one is kind of a chemical taste. Not a good cup of coffee at all. Very dissapointed. Now they tell me this is an item that can't be returned either. Ughhh!!

Great product! Perfect for coffee lovers because you can make a delicious cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa in about a minute. There are many different flavors of coffee to buy, so you can always have a variety instead of having to make a pot of just one kind of coffee. The tea is awesome, I just wish there were more tea varieties on the market.

I use distilled water because the water where I live is hard and I didn't want to deal with the scaling issues that these units will have with tap water. I also wish this particular unit had an option for filling larger "to go" cups. But you can always run the unit twice to fill those.

The price was right and shipping was fast and free with my prime membership!

You will not regret buying a Keurig!

I bought this machine 1 1/2 years ago, have trouble with it filling the cup and thought, OK, I might try it again, but after reading a number of reviews and the machine is still having the same problem, I will not purchase another Kurig.
